Yesterday was Memorial Day in the U.S., a holiday where Americans remember those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Memorial Day also marked the unofficial start of summer in the United States. Typically, summer (or winter in the southern hemisphere) is a time of year when news activity quiets down. However, this year has been an exceptional year so far:
- We have already seen more significant events take place in the first five months of 2011 than we usually see in a multiple year time period.
Today I list some notable and important dates/events to monitor over the next few months which could make these next few months quite interesting.
